Rural Comm Dev Org

In this course, students will engage in the scientific study of community, community organization, and community development. The course covers issues facing rural communities that act as barriers to community development efforts. Students will learn how to apply theories and methods to address such issues from an academic and applied context. Each student will have the opportunity to develop their ability to think and write critically about community issues and topics affecting communities throughout America. Prerequisite(s): SOCI 1101 or PSYC 1101 with a minimum grade of C and a minimum of 60 semester hours taken.
